BUIES CREEK, N.C. – In its final game of the Camel Invitational, the Lehigh softball team defeated Canisius 9-1 in six innings Sunday morning.
First-year Lily Owens and junior Amanda Greaney homered, with Greaney's fifth-inning grand slam giving Lehigh an 8-1 lead, as the Mountain Hawks win their sixth straight overall, capping a 5-0 showing at the Camel Invitational to move to 10-2 on the season.
Canisius (7-5) scored first on Gianna Fazzolari's first-inning RBI single but it was all Mountain Hawks after that.

Lehigh went in front with two runs in the fourth on RBI doubles by first-year Sydney Parlett and sophomore Maddy Schmeiser.
Sophomore Rory Dudley drove in a run with a single in the fifth and two batters later, Greaney blasted her first home run of the season out to left field, giving the Mountain Hawks an 8-1 advantage.
Senior Josie Charles ended the game in the sixth inning with a bases-loaded RBI single that scored Owens to put Lehigh up by eight.
