Mountain Hawks Return To Stabler Arena To Host Oneonta

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – The Lehigh Mountain Hawks men's basketball team returns to Stabler Arena after a 10-day hiatus from their home court. Lehigh welcomes Oneonta to Bethlehem for a Thursday night tip-off at 7 p.m.
Thursday night's bout is the first of two non-Division I opponents that the Mountain Hawks are slated to face this season. Lehigh will host Cairn University on December 9 after their matchup with the Red Dragons. Following Thursday's contest, the Mountain Hawks will travel to New Jersey to face Monmouth on November 21.
The game will be the first-ever meeting between Lehigh and Oneonta. Head coach Dr. Brett Reed holds a 9-0 career record against non-Division I opponents and is looking to keep that winning streak alive.
Lehigh (0-3) competed against some of the nation's best this past weekend, traveling to both Penn State and #19 North Carolina. The Mountain Hawks found themselves tied with the Nittany Lions at the end of the first half, but ultimately fell by a score of 74-65. Lehigh also hung in with the 'blue blood' Tar Heels, trailing by only nine points at half and at one point cut the lead to three in the second frame. However, the Tar Heels came out on top 90-68. Keith Higgins Jr. leads the team with 15.7 points per game, Dominic Parolin averages a team-best 6.7 rebounds and both Higgins and Jalin Sinclair are currently averaging 3.0 assists per game.
Last season, Oneonta (1-2) posted a 17-9 record while going 13-5 in SUNYAC conference play. The Red Dragons return eight players from their 2022-23 roster, however, all four of Oneonta's leading scorers from a season ago are no longer with the team. Oneonta's current leading scorer is sophomore Javen Smith-Flowers, who is currently posting a mark of 18.7 ppg. The Red Dragons' leading rebounder is Caleb Brown with 6.7 boards per game while Wooden Graham leads the team with 11 total assists.
Thursday's game will be aired on ESPN+.
