BETHLEHEM, Pa. – The Lehigh men's golf team will close out its fall schedule when the Mountain Hawks host the two-day, 36-hole Lehigh Invitational Friday and Saturday on the Grace Course at Saucon Valley Country Club. The Mountain Hawks will welcome 11 other teams to Saucon Valley for their fifth and final fall event.

Saucon Valley Country Club, founded in 1920, has grown from 18 holes and a clubhouse to become one of the largest private clubs in North America. It encompasses 800 acres and consists of four courses, including the Weyhill Course, Old Course, Grace Course and Short Course. The Grace Course opened with nine holes in the fall of 1953 with the second nine opened for play in 1958. Named for Eugene Gifford Grace (Lehigh Class of 1899), longtime president and chairman of Bethlehem Steel, the Grace Course measures 7,051 yards from the championship tees and features greens nearly twice the size of those on the Old Course but without the severe contours.

Lehigh last competed at Binghamton's Matthews Auto Intercollegiate, Oct. 1-2, where the Mountain Hawks finished fourth in a 14-team field. Graduate student David Hurly and junior Aidan Oehrle both posted top 10 individual finishes to lead the way for the Mountain Hawks. Hurly also owns an individual tournament win at the Temple Invitational earlier this fall.

Last year, Lehigh finished second out of 15 teams at its home invitational. Daniel Song '23 was the individual medalist, while Lehigh's "A" team finished 13 strokes behind St. John's.

This year's field will include two Lehigh teams, plus Binghamton, Bryant, Evansville, Fairfield, Hofstra, Iona, Lafayette, Monmouth, Rider, Siena and Towson.

All 11 Mountain Hawks are expected to play this weekend with five players on the "A" team, five on the "B" team and one individual.

Friday's opening round tee times will begin at 10 a.m. while Saturday's final round tee times are set to begin at 9:30 a.m.

Lehigh's "A" team will play with Siena and Towson going off the first tee beginning at 11:40 a.m. The "B" team will be playing with other teams' individuals and will go off the first tee beginning at 10:50 a.m.
