Men's Cross Country Prepares For IC4A Championships On Friday

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Men's cross country embarks on one more regular season test before the Patriot League Championship later this month. The Mountain Hawks will compete at the IC4A Championships in New York City on Friday at 10:45 a.m.
The Mountain Hawks last competed at their own Paul Short Run on September 30, placing 35th out of 43 schools in the Gold 8k race. Kevin Harvey was Lehigh's top runner, placing 80th overall with a time of 24:57.4. First-year Thomas Smigo came in second for the Mountain Hawks, clocking in at 25:12.4 to finish in 123rd, ahead of all other Patriot League first-year students at the race.
Other finishers in the Gold 8k race for Lehigh were Aidan Lynch (263rd, 26:05.0), Dan Malatesta (302nd, 26:22.8), Derek Coceano (303rd, 26:22.9), Noah Zahn (329th, 26:38.6), Henry Burd (348th, 26:56.1) and Alex Heidemann (373rd, 27:57.0).
Last year, the Mountain Hawks sent four runners to compete in the IC4A Championships, with Carter LoPresti finishing first for Lehigh in 228th place with a time of 27:12.2. This time around, Lehigh will travel its whole team for the event.
The IC4A Championships will act as the final meet of the regular season before the team heads to Colgate on October 28 for the Patriot League Championship. Live results can be found at https://www.leonetiming.com/.
