BETHLEHEM, Pa. – The Lehigh women's golf team will close out its fall campaign as the Mountain Hawks host the Lehigh Invitational, Monday and Tuesday on the Grace Course at Saucon Valley Country Club. Sixteen teams will be participating in the 36-hole, two-day event which will cap Lehigh's fall season.

Saucon Valley Country Club, founded in 1920, has grown from 18 holes and a clubhouse to become one of the largest private clubs in North America. It encompasses 800 acres and consists of four courses, including the Weyhill Course, Old Course, Grace Course and Short Course. The Grace Course opened with nine holes in the fall of 1953 with the second nine opened for play in 1958. Named for Eugene Gifford Grace (Lehigh Class of 1899), longtime president and chairman of Bethlehem Steel, the Grace Course measures 6,012 yards from the ladies tees and features greens nearly twice the size of those on the Old Course but without the severe contours.

So far this fall, Lehigh owns a third place finish at Delaware State's Hornet Classic at the Creek and a 13th place finish at Navy's Fall Invitational. Earlier this week, Lehigh finished eighth at the Sacred Heart Fall Classic in Milford, Conn. Sophomore Madison Pineda led the way with a 16th place finish.

Six Mountain Hawks will compete at the Lehigh Invitational, between the five-player scoring team and one individual. Seniors Hannah Foster and Iris Shin, junior Meghna Grover, sophomores Sophie Chang and Pineda and first-year Yuki Zhu will compete for the brown and white.

Last year's Lehigh Invitational was shortened to 18 holes due to rain as the Mountain Hawks finished fourth in an 11-team field.

This year's field includes 16 teams: UAlbany, Fairfield, FDU, Holy Cross, Howard, La Salle, Lehigh, LIU, Merrimack, Monmouth, Navy, Niagara, Quinnipiac, Saint Francis, St. John's and Wagner.

Tee times both days are set for 9 a.m. going off the first and 10th tees. Lehigh will be playing with Navy and Howard on day one.
