Mountain Hawks earn third straight AVCA Team Award in 2020-21

LEXINGTON, Ky. – The Lehigh volleyball program earned an AVCA academic team award for the seventh time in the last eight years when the association announced the 2020-21 list Monday afternoon. This is the Mountain Hawks' third straight time being featured on the list.
Lehigh joins 1,275 other collegiate and high school programs on the award list for the year, including a new record 243 Division I teams.
The award, initiated in the 1992-93 academic year, honors volleyball teams that maintain a year-long grade-point average of 3.30 on a 4.0 scale.
Graduated middle blocker Claire Nagelhout earned Academic All-Patriot League honors for the first time following this past season, becoming the 11th straight Mountain Hawk to earn the honor dating back to the 2011 season.
As a program, the Mountain Hawks maintained a cumulative GPA of 3.54 in the spring 2021 semester.
