Keefe, Shuey and Van Siclen Earn All-Patriot League Recognition

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – A trio of Lehigh women's soccer student-athletes received All-Patriot League honors on Tuesday, with junior Erin Keefe and sophomore Ryelle Shuey being named to the second team, and junior Rebecca Van Siclen receiving third-team recognition. For all three, it marks their first-career All-League honors.
 
Keefe was an anchor for the Mountain Hawks' back line this spring, which finished the regular season fourth in the Patriot League in goals against average (0.60). Lehigh allowed just four goals in six games, which included three overtime contests. Keefe played in five games, starting them all, and Lehigh picked up shutouts in three of those contests.
 
Shuey started all six matches in the midfield, impacting the game in a number of ways. Along with tallying nine shots, which was third on the team, she also played an important role in the Mountain Hawks' defense, which ended the season with a 159:42 shutout streak.
 
Van Siclen scored a big goal for Lehigh in the game's third minute against Colgate on Mar. 27. She led the Mountain Hawks in shots (12), firing at least one shot in every game.
 
The Mountain Hawks finished the season 1-2-3, beating American (1-0) while tying Bucknell (0-0), Colgate (1-1) and Loyola (0-0).
