Spring 2021 Lehigh Football Preview: Cornerbacks
3/8/2021 4:15:00 PM | Football
As March begins Lehighsports.com will be taking a position-by-position look at the Lehigh football team, which will play a four-game Patriot League schedule in the spring of 2021. The Mountain Hawks, under the direction of second-year head coach Tom Gilmore, will open the 2021 spring season March 13 versus Holy Cross at Goodman Stadium.
We stay in the secondary to look at Lehigh's cornerbacks.
Lehigh enters the season with five student-athletes working primarily at cornerback, with several other defensive backs able to play corner or safety as needed.
Â
The senior member of the group is Tre Neal, who has been limited to three games over the previous two seasons. Sophomore Jack Bush made his mark on special teams, earning first team All-Patriot League honors as a non-specialist, and will now have more opportunities on the defensive side of the ball.
Â
Three first-year corners will have on opportunity to compete for time immediately: Donovan Lassiter, LaTreil Wimberly and Nick Lucien.
