BETHLEHEM, Pa. – The Lehigh football team defeated Georgetown Saturday for its second straight victory and on Monday, the Mountain Hawks collected a pair of Patriot League weekly awards for the second straight week. Fifth-year linebacker Pete Haffner was named Defensive Player of the Week and is joined by junior Dylan Van Dusen, who earned his second consecutive Special Teams Player of the Week honor.

This is the third career Player of the Week award for Haffner and the second for Van Dusen.

The Mountain Hawks defense turned in another strong performance in Saturday's 23-9 win over Georgetown, limiting the Hoyas to just 237 yards of total offense, including 33 rushing yards. Haffner had a game-high 10 tackles, including nine solo stops, and added a sack and 2.5 tackles for loss.

Haffner's fifth-year has been limited to just five games due to injury, but the two-time All-Patriot League honoree has 32 tackles, 5.5 tackles for loss and two sacks this season. He has 21 tackles, four tackles for loss and 1.5 sacks since returning from injury against Holy Cross.

Van Dusen kicked a career-best three field goals in Saturday's win and added a pair of extra points for a career-high 11 point afternoon. He converted from 23, 28 and 37 yards, becoming the first Lehigh kicker to boot three field goals in a game and the first to eclipse the 10 point mark since Austin Henning kicked three field goals and scored 10 points against Lafayette in 2019.

This season, Van Dusen is 11-for-11 on extra point attempts and has converted 9-of-11 field goals.

Sophomore quarterback Dante Perri received honorable mention recognition from the league on Monday. Perri completed 22-of-32 passes for 259 yards and two touchdowns against the Hoyas. He did not take any sacks or turn the ball over on the afternoon.

The Mountain Hawks welcome Lafayette to Goodman Stadium Saturday for the 157th edition of The Rivalry, presented by Lehigh Valley Health Network and Coordinated Health. Game time is set for noon. Tickets are still available and can be purchased at LehighTickets.com or by calling 610-7LU-GAME during business hours.
