Mountain Hawks Finish Fall Season At Daniel Island Intercollegiate

CHARLESTON, S.C. – The Lehigh men's golf team closed out the Daniel Island Intercollegiate and its fall season with a round of 309 Monday at the Daniel Island Club. The Mountain Hawks finished the tournament at 912 (305-298-309) to finish 16th in a 20-team field.
Junior Daniel Song was Lehigh's top finisher, tying for 38th place at 222 (71-74-77). Song's opening round 71 was the low round of the tournament for the Mountain Hawks.
The low round of the day Monday for Lehigh came from junior David Hurly, who shot one over par 73, which included a team-best three birdies. Hurly tied for 42nd place at 223 (76-74-73).
Junior Sam Barton tied for 74th place at 232 (78-76-78). Barton made an eagle Monday on the par 5 sixth hole.
Freshman Jahan Bains and sophomore Edmund Broderick both closed out their fall campaigns with rounds of 81. Bains made two birdies Monday and tied for 88th place at 235 (80-74-81). Broderick carded one birdie and tied for 94th place at 238 (80-77-81).
Seton Hall captured the team title at six under par 858 (282-282-294). The Pirates posted a four stroke victory over runner-up South Carolina.
College of Charleston's Nevill Ruiter was the individual medalist at four under par 212 (69-69-74). He posted a one stroke victory over four players.
The Daniel Island Intercollegiate concludes the Mountain Hawks' fall schedule. Lehigh will return to the links in the spring.
