Season three of Lehigh Sports Central, presented by Coordinated Health, premieres Monday

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Lehigh Sports Central, presented by Coordinated Health premieres for its third season Monday, August 26 at 6:30 p.m. on Service Electric Channel 2/502. For the third straight year, Lehigh Athletics and Service Electric 2 Sports have partnered to produce this half-hour show, which will once again deliver Lehigh fans with Lehigh head coach and student-athlete appearances, highlights, features and much more.
Hosted by Service Electric's Steve Degler, a broadcaster for the Lehigh Valley IronPigs who has been involved in Lehigh football broadcasts for the last 15 seasons, Lehigh Sports Central can be seen in the Lehigh Valley on Service Electric 2 Sports with 16 episodes slated for the fall, beginning Monday night and 16 more on tap for the spring semester.
With more than 250,000 subscribers, Service Electric is the area's largest cable provider.
On this week's season premiere, first year head football coach Tom Gilmore previews the 2019 campaign, which begins Saturday at home against Saint Francis. Head women's soccer coach Eric Lambinus stops by with senior Annika Jansa to discuss the start of the Mountain Hawks' season.
Recent men's tennis alumnus Sam Bencheghib '19 and his ongoing run from New York to Los Angeles to raise awareness about plastics pollution and its effect on oceans, will be featured in segment three, along with season previews for volleyball, field hockey, men's soccer and men's and women's cross country, all of which open their seasons this weekend.
For fans outside the Lehigh Valley or who are not Service Electric subscribers, segments from Lehigh Sports Central can be viewed on LehighSports.com, the official online home for Lehigh Athletics and on Lehigh Athletics' official YouTube channel at YouTube.com/Lehigh Sports, later in the week.
Locally, new episodes of Lehigh Sports Central will premiere each Monday evening (with the exception of Sept. 2, which will air on Tuesday, Sept. 3). Additional re-airings are expected on Service Electric DP 2/502 and 50/550 with times still to be determined. Monday's season premiere will re-air Monday at 9:30 p.m. on 2/502 and Tuesday at 11 a.m. on 50/550.
