BETHLEHEM, Pa. – The Lehigh men's golf team is headed to Annapolis, Md., for its final full-field tournament before the Patriot League Championship as the Mountain Hawks will compete in the two-day Navy Spring Invitational, beginning Friday at the Naval Academy Golf Club.

Lehigh will be one of 13 teams competing in the two-day, 36-hole event on the 6,611-yard, par 71 course at Navy. The host Midshipmen will field two teams in the event with Navy and Lehigh joined by Binghamton, Fairleigh Dickinson, Lafayette, La Salle, LIU Brooklyn, Methodist College, Mount St. Mary's, Saint Francis, St. Francis Brooklyn, St. John's and Saint Joseph's.

The Mountain Hawks are coming off a 13th-place finish in the 20-team Wildcat Invitational April 8-9 in Malvern, Pa. Junior Owen Quinn led the way for the Mountain Hawks, tying for seventh place at three under par 139.

This is the second straight year that the Navy Invitational will serve as Lehigh's final tournament tune-up for the Patriot League Championship. Last year, the Mountain Hawks tied for second place in a 13-team field, with Quinn leading the way with a runner-up finish.

The Navy Invitational is also a homecoming for junior Ryan Kelly, who hails from Annapolis. He played in this event last year along with Quinn and current seniors Max Redetzke and Eamon Marone.

Play for Friday's opening round will begin with an 8:30 a.m. shotgun start. Saturday's final round will feature tee times beginning at 8:30 a.m.

Following the Navy Spring Invitational, Lehigh will play rival Lafayette in stroke play April 23 at Saucon Valley Country Club, before shifting focus to the Patriot League Championship, April 27-28 in Hamilton, N.Y.
