BETHLEHEM, Pa. — The Mountain Hawks return to the Ulrich Sports Complex on Friday night in an 8 p.m. meeting with the Binghamton Bearcats in the second game of the women's/men's doubleheader. Friday is Camper Appreciation Night as all past soccer campers are invited for the doubleheader and Lehigh Athletics will be raffling off a FREE week of 2019 summer soccer camp at the conclusion of the men's contest. Lehigh, coming off of big shutout wins over George Washington and St. John's, was guided by stout defensive efforts in each of those games.

The Mountain Hawks are in a good position to continue their run of success after close losses to UConn and Drexel to open the season.

Junior Tommy Dokho's 43rd minute goal on the assist from sophomore Ikem Mbalewe, stood for Lehigh in its 1-0 victory over St. John's on Tuesday. The Mountain Hawk defense, led by Patriot League Defensive Player of the Week Zarin Tuten, coupled with another big performance from junior goalkeeper Will Smith, did the rest of the work on the road.

Smith is coming off his second straight shutout in net. He stopped all seven of St. John's shots that came his way, lowering his goals against average to 0.99 on the year.

Senior Mark Forrest enters Friday as the Mountain Hawks' leading scorer with two goals and an assist. Both of his goals were on penalty kicks including a game-winner against GW. Forrest is also the team leader in shots with 11.

The Bearcats (0-3-1) visit Bethlehem searching for their first win of the season. They haven't scored a goal since Aug. 24 against Drexel. Those goals were scored by Haris Brkovic and Connor McKnight. Binghamton goalkeeper Chris Shutler enters play with a 1.59 goals against average in the first four games and one shutout.

Lehigh is 1-0-1 all-time against Binghamton. In the last meeting between the two teams on Sept. 13, 2006, the Mountain Hawks and the Bearcats tied.

The Mountain Hawks last beat Binghamton on Sept. 17, 2005.

Both games of Friday's doubleheader will be streamed live on the Patriot League Network.
