Mountain Hawks get back into fall swing at Bucknell Invitational

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – The Lehigh women's golf team continues its fall schedule this weekend with a trip to Lewisburg, Pa., for the two-day, 54-hole Bucknell Invitational beginning Saturday at the Bucknell Golf Club. A field of six teams will compete on the par 70 course, with Fairleigh Dickinson, La Salle, Niagara and Wagner joining the Mountain Hawks and the host Bison.
 
The tournament will feature 36 holes of play on Saturday and 18 on Sunday with action both days set for a 9 a.m. shotgun start.
 
Lehigh opened its fall campaign with a third place finish at the Towson Invitational, Sept. 10-11 in Phoenix, Md. Junior Minuette Laessig and senior Reagan Jahn posted top five finishes to lead the Mountain Hawks, with Laessig finishing fourth and Jahn fifth.
 
Sophomores Alexis Browne and Angela Ding also competed for Lehigh at Towson along with junior Rebecca Markunas.
 
Lehigh last played in the Bucknell Fall Invitational in 2015, finishing fourth out of 14 teams.
 
Following the Bucknell Fall Invitational, Lehigh will compete at the Brown Bear Invitational, Oct. 14-15 in Seekonk, Mass., before hosting the Lehigh Invitational Oct. 21-22 on the Grace Course at Saucon Valley Country Club.
