
Moylan caps career with All-League finish as Lehigh wraps up at Patriot League Championship

ANNAPOLIS, Md. – Lehigh's Megan Moylan saved one of the best rounds of her senior season for last, carding a final round two over par 74 to move into the top 10 and earn second team All-Patriot League honors as the Mountain Hawks wrapped up play at the Patriot League Championship Sunday at the Naval Academy Golf Club.

Moylan's final round featured 13 pars, two birdies, two bogeys and one double bogey as she moved into a tie for ninth place at 241 (84-83-74).

As a team, Lehigh matched its round two score, shooting 322 on the final day to finish at 979 (335-322-322) to claim fifth place in the six team field.

Junior Reagan Jahn fell one stroke shy of earning a third straight all-league honor as she ran into trouble on her 16th and 18th holes of the day to shoot 81 and finish in 11th place at 242 (82-79-81). Jahn made two birdies in her final round.

Lehigh's leader after day one was freshman Angela Ding, but ding shot 84 in Sunday's final round to drop into a tie for 12th place at 243 (84-75-84).

After shooting two rounds of 85 on Saturday, sophomore Minuette Laessig improved to an 83 on Sunday to tie for 23rd place at 253.

Freshman Alexis Browne finished with a total of 258 (89-85-84) to tie for 26th place, while sophomore Rebecca Markunas finished 29th with a final score of 269 (94-86-89).

Richmond and Navy entered the day tied for the team lead at 635. The Spiders bested the host Midshipmen 308-311 on Sunday to claim their third straight team title with a final score of 943. Boston University finished third at 963, while Bucknell finished eight strokes clear of Lehigh for fourth place.

Sophie DiPetrillo of Richmond shot one under par 71 on Sunday, the low round of the tournament, to earn the individual title and Player of the Year honors at 11 over par 227 (80-76-71). DiPetrillo defeated Navy's Morgan Frazier by three strokes.

Richmond also had the Rookie of the Year in third place finisher Lizzie Reedy.

Lehigh loses just one player, Moylan, to graduation and will return six players for the 2018-19 campaign.
