BETHLEHEM, Pa. – The Lehigh men's golf team returns to Florida for its second spring tournament as the Mountain Hawks will take part in the Mission Inn Spring Spectacular, hosted by George Mason, Saturday-Sunday at the Mission Inn Resort in Howie-in-the-Hills, Fla.

The Mountain Hawks opened their spring with an eighth place finish at the UNCG Martin Downs Collegiate last month in Palm City. Junior Johnny Hsu was Lehigh's top finisher taking 34th place at six over par 222.

The Mission Inn Spring Spectacular will be played on the Mission Inn's par 72, 6,834 yard course. Fourteen teams will compete over the two days, with 36 holes set for Saturday and the final 18 on Sunday. Action both days will begin with a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m.

The field includes Indiana, Florida A&M, Florida Atlantic, Bethune-Cookman, TCU, two teams from Princeton, Murray State, Presbyterian, USC Upstate, Toledo and Hofstra in addition to Lehigh and host George Mason.

Lehigh finished 14th in a 17-team field in this event last year. Hsu led the Mountain Hawks in that tournament, followed closely by sophomore Ryan Kelly.

The Mountain Hawks' scoring team for its opening tournament consisted of Hsu, Kelly, senior Billy Johns, junior Lee Hammerschmidt and sophomore Owen Quinn.

Following the Mission Inn Spring Spectacular, the Mountain Hawks will play in Lafayette's Invitational, Apr. 1-2 at Silver Creek Country Club in Hellertown.
