BETHLEHEM, Pa. – The Lehigh football team delivered its most complete effort of the season across all three phases in its 45-17 win over Bucknell on Saturday. On Monday, three Mountain Hawks were rewarded with Patriot League weekly awards. Sophomore wide receiver Jorge Portorreal was named Offensive Player of the Week, sophomore linebacker Pete Haffner garnered Defensive Player of the Week and senior kicker/punter Ed Mish was recognized as Special Teams Player of the Week for their efforts in helping deliver Lehigh's first league win.

Portorreal enjoyed the best game of his career and one of the finest single game efforts in school history, catching nine passes for a career-high 216 yards and two touchdowns against the Bison. The 216 yards tied for the sixth-highest single game receiving total in school annals. Portorreal scored touchdowns on receptions of 56 and 72 yards as senior quarterback Brad Mayes enjoyed his best passing day of the year with 335 yards.

This is the first Offensive Player of the Week award for Portorreal, who won a pair of Rookie of the Week honors last season. The Union, N.J. product leads the Mountain Hawks with 48 receptions for 691 yards this season. He also has three touchdown catches.

Haffner delivered Lehigh's first Defensive Player of the Week award since Bucknell's last visit to Goodman Stadium in 2016. Making just his second career start, Haffner tied for the team lead with 10 tackles, including nine solo stops. He added a tackle for loss and a pair of pass breakups to lead a Lehigh defense that limited Bucknell to 17 points and 255 yards, both of which were season lows for Lehigh opponents.

For the season, the State College, Pa., native has 34 tackles in nine games.

Mish broke a long standing school record to collect his seventh career Special Teams Player of the Week award and first of the season. He was 6-for-6 on extra points and connected on a 27 yard field goal against Bucknell. Mish's sixth and final extra point gave him 226 career points, moving him past the late Erik Bird for Lehigh's career kick scoring record, set in the early 1990s. He also averaged 41.4 yards on five punts with a long of 60.

The Old Bridge, N.J. native is averaging 42.4 yards on punts this season and is 4-for-6 on field goals and 15-for-17 on extra point attempts this season.

The Mountain Hawks will close out their home schedule on Saturday when they host No. 8/10 Colgate as part of Family Weekend. Game time is set for 12:30 p.m. from Goodman Stadium. Tickets can be purchased by visiting LehighTickets.com or by calling 610-7LU-GAME during business hours. The Lehigh-Colgate game is presented by PSECU.
