Megan Polak awarded CoSIDA Academic All-District 2 Team honors for the second time

BETHLEHEM, Pa. — For the second straight season, Lehigh volleyball senior setter Megan Polak has been named to Google Cloud CoSIDA Academic All-District 2 Team for her excellent performance in the classroom. To be eligible for CoSIDA academic awards, a player must have a 3.30 GPA and played in 50 percent of the team's matches on the season.
Polak has earned a cumulative 3.95 GPA during her educational career at Lehigh University, majoring in Behavioral Neuroscience with a minor in Hispanic Studies. She has done numerous things off the court to be successful including research externships and extra work during winters and summers to grow in her field.
The Kirtland, Ohio native plans on entering Physician's Assistant school specializing in child oncology upon graduation.
In addition to her CoSIDA award earned for the 2017 season, Polak has been named to the Patriot League All-Academic Team twice in the 2016 and 2017 seasons. She has been on Dean's List in all six semesters so far and has earned 4.0 three times during her tenure. Polak is a three-time letter winner with the Mountain Hawks and has been Lehigh volleyball's scholar athlete of the year twice.
Polak tallied 390 assists for the Mountain Hawks in 2018 and finished her impressive collegiate career with 2,572 assists, good enough for fifth all-time in program history.
