Lehigh Gets Set For Bucknell Tuneup

BETHLEHEM, Pa – The Lehigh men's cross country team will compete once more before the Patriot League Championship, as it venture back to Lewisburgh, Pa. for the Bucknell tuneup race.
 
The first time the Mountain Hawks competed at Bucknell this season was their first race of the year, the Bison Open, on August 31. With the league championship at Bucknell this year as well, Lehigh will get a refresher of the course before October 27. 
 
In the Bison Open Avery Lederer led all Mountain Hawks with a 15th place finish and a time of 19:26.4. Sean Brown and Eric Kersten were next up for the Brown and White with 18th and 23rd place finishes for times of 19:28.0 and 19:32.2.
 
Lehigh continues to rest among the top-15 teams in the Mid-Atlantic region, as it now reside at 13th. Navy (6) continues to lead all Patriot League schools in the region while Bucknell (14) rounds out the remaining ranked Patriot League schools.

The Mountain Hawks are coming off of running in the Princeton Invitational, which saw them finish 12th overall. Jeffrey Kirshenbaum led Lehigh with a 26th place finish with a time of 24:46.4. Kersten and Brown followed suit with 73rd and 74th place finishes with times of 25:23.9 and 25:24.0.
