STATS Release

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Two members of the Lehigh football team have been named to the STATS FCS All-America teams unveiled Tuesday. Junior running back Dominick Bragalone was named first team All-American, his third first-team honor in the last week, while senior wide receiver Troy Pelletier garnered second team accolades.

Both players were among the final 25 for the Walter Payton Award, given to the top offensive player in the FCS. Bragalone finished seventh in the final voting, while Pelletier tied for 22nd.

Bragalone adds STATS All-America honors to his first team recognition by the Associated Press and FCS ADA last week. He was also named a second team All-American by Phil Steele. The leading rusher and scorer in the FCS, Bragalone was the Patriot League's Offensive Player of the Year and a first team All-Patriot League selection. Bragalone carried 247 times for 1,388 yards and 18 touchdowns. With four receiving touchdowns, Bragalone leads the FCS with 22 total touchdowns and 12 points per game scored.

The first Lehigh player to post three 1,000-yard rushing seasons, Bragalone's 1,388 marked the second highest single-season total in school history as the South Williamsport, Pa. native ends his junior campaign just 129 yards short of Lehigh's career rushing mark of 3,696 held by Rabih Abdullah '97.

Named a third-team All-American last year by both the Associated Press and STATS, Pelletier moves up to STATS' second team in 2017. He was also named third-team All-America by Phil Steele last week. Pelletier became a four-time All-Patriot League selection with his third first-team honor this season. Pelletier became the most accomplished wide receiver in school and Patriot League history. In his senior campaign he set a school record with 105 receptions and gained 1,292 yards and 10 touchdowns. Pelletier's outstanding senior campaign helped him set Lehigh and Patriot League career records for receptions (328) and yards (4,216), while his 37 touchdowns established a Patriot League career mark.

The Deerfield, N.H. native had 20 career 100-yard receiving games, including seven in 2017, highlighted by a school-record 16 catch effort versus Georgetown that produced 197 yards and four touchdowns, as Pelletier became the first Mountain Hawk since 2001 to have four touchdown receptions in a game.

Both Bragalone and Pelletier were key members of a Lehigh team that won five of its last six regular season games to claim its 12th Patriot League football championship and second straight. In all, five Patriot League student-athletes were honored on one of STATS' three All-America teams.
