BETHLEHEM, Pa. – One day after rallying past Lafayette 38-31 to win the 153rd meeting of College Football's most-played rivalry and clinch its 12th Patriot League championship, Lehigh football learned its postseason destination. The Mountain Hawks will visit Stony Brook Saturday in the first round of the Division I Football Championship.

Game time will be 2 p.m. from Kenneth P. LaValle Stadium in Stony Brook, N.Y. It will be streamed on ESPN3, which is available via WatchESPN. Radio coverage will be available on ESPN Radio of the Lehigh Valley.

"We're very excited to be getting a CAA team," Lehigh head coach Andy Coen said. "We always like to play against those guys. We have a slightly easier road trip than some previous years. We would've gone anywhere. I'm so happy we have this opportunity because our guys have worked so hard to achieve this. They're going to be excited. We're going to have great practices and put our best foot forward here."

Lehigh enters the playoffs at 5-6 overall but the Mountain Hawks won five of their last six games to claim their second consecutive Patriot League title.  The Mountain Hawks will be making their 11th FCS Playoff appearance. Last year, Lehigh was sent to New Hampshire. This is the third straight playoff trip in which the Mountain Hawks will open with an opponent from the Colonial Athletic Association.

Stony Brook, ranked 10th in the latest STATS FCS Top 25, capped a 9-2 regular season with a last second 20-19 win at Maine on Saturday. The Seawolves earned an at-large bid out of the CAA with a 7-1 conference record. Stony Brook's two losses came at the hands of FBS South Florida and Delaware.

Lehigh and Stony Brook have met just once before, with the Mountain Hawks claiming a 25-2 victory in the 2004 season-opener at Goodman Stadium.

The winner of the Lehigh-Stony Brook game will face No. 1 seed and defending national champion James Madison Dec. 2 in Harrisonburg, Va.

Tickets are $15 and can be purchased through Lehigh at LehighTickets.com or via the link above.
