Volleyball Starts Second Half of League Slate This Weekend

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – The Mountain Hawks return to the court this weekend as they begin the second round of Patriot League play. Lehigh will hit the road to face Holy Cross at 7 p.m. on Friday before traveling to Colgate to face the Raiders at 4 p.m. on Saturday. Both matches will be streamed live for free on the Patriot League Network.
Lehigh (14-8, 5-3) is looking to get back on the winning track and shake off its first back-to-back losses since September 9 after falling to Navy and Army last week. The Mountain Hawks will be looking to complete season sweeps over both Holy Cross (3-18, 0-8) and Colgate (11-9, 2-6). Both opponents rank in the bottom third of the league standings.
The Mountain Hawks posted 3-0 victories over Holy Cross and Colgate in the previous meetings this season. Lehigh hit a combined .275 in those matches, while the Crusaders and Raiders combined for a .155 attack percentage. Lehigh posted 15.7 kills per set and 15.0 blocks per set, while Holy Cross and Colgate combined for averages of 11.7 and 10.0, respectively.
Ana Spangenberg led Lehigh with a combined 34 kills and a .408 attack percentage in the previous matches against the Crusaders and Raiders. Sabrina Lancaster and Lauren Bright each posted 12 combined kills, while Emily Poole combined for six total blocks and a 1.50 blocks per set average.
