Lehigh wraps up action at Bucknell Fall Invitational

LEWISBURG, Pa. – With all five scoring players finishing between nine and 12 over par the Lehigh men's golf team finished 10th out of 15 teams as the Bucknell Fall Invitational finished up Sunday at the Bucknell Golf Club. The Mountain Hawks shot 305 in Sunday's final round to finish at 40 over par 600 (295-305) over the 36-hole tournament.
 
Sophomore Johnny Hsu led Lehigh, tying for 27th place at nine over par 149 (74-75), with his second round 75 matching the low round of the day for Lehigh.
 
Two Mountain Hawks tied for 36th place at 151 with sophomore Lee Hammerschmidt shooting 74-77 and freshman Ryan Kelly shooting 73-78.
 
Sophomore Eamon Marone and freshman Owen Quinn tied for 45th place at 152. Marone went 74-78 while Quinn shot 77 and then 75.
 
Freshman Chris Pollan competed as an individual but after a strong 71 on Saturday was forced to withdraw on Sunday.
 
Saint Joseph's led the team race from start to finish and captured the team title at 570 (275-295), with Wayne State and the host Bison tying for second place.
 
The Hawks' Michael O'Brien was the individual medalist after defeating Lafayette's Reid Bedell in a playoff. Both players shot three under par 137.
 
Next up for the Mountain Hawks will be the Binghamton Invitational, Oct. 2-3 in Apalachin, N.Y.
