DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – The Lehigh women's golf team posted an eight stroke improvement on the second day of the Lady EagleCat Invitational, Tuesday at LPGA International. The Mountain Hawks followed up a 340 on Monday with a 332 in the final round to finish ninth in a 14-team field.

Freshman Reagan Jahn was Lehigh's top finisher, tying for 31st place at 20 over par 166. Jahn carded three birdies on Tuesday but finished with a second round 84.

Three Mountain Hawks tied for 44th place at 170. Freshman Aileen Jeong and junior Elizabeth McGarrigle both shot 81 on Tuesday, the lowest round of the tournament for Lehigh. Sophomore Casey Farmer was also part of that mix with an 84 Monday and an 86 on Tuesday.

Sophomore Megan Moylan was Lehigh's fifth scoring player. She tied for 51st place at 172 (85-87).

Sacred Heart's Ellen Nighbor defeated Winthrop's Ashley Sloup in a playoff to earn individual medalist honors after both players finished a three over par 149 for the tournament.

Tournament co-host Winthrop won the team title at 616 (307-309), six strokes better than Towson. Bethune-Cookman, the other co-host, finished third at 612.

The Mountain Hawks will return to action at the William & Mary Intercollegiate, March 28-29 in Williamsburg, Va.
