The Lehigh baseball team claimed its first Patriot League Championship since 2006 with a 4-3, 10-inning win at Navy in the third and deciding game of the championship series on May 17. Connor Faust's two-out RBI single up the middle plated Tournament MVP Mike Garzillo with the go-ahead run in the top of the tenth. Nick Macaione pitched all ten innings for the Mountain Hawks, recording the final two outs via strikeout to send Lehigh into celebration mode.
In the quarterfinals of the NWCA National Duals in Iowa City, Iowa, Lehigh upset third-ranked and eventual NCAA Champion Ohio State 21-18 on February 21. Lehigh won six of ten bouts against the heavily favored Buckeyes, capped by a sudden victory win from heavyweight Doug Vollaro. All six victories came against ranked wrestlers. The victory was Pat Santoro's 100th as head coach of the Mountain Hawks.
