
Lehigh continues spring campaign at Wildcat Invitational beginning Monday

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – The Lehigh men's golf team will play in its second tournament of the spring season next week at the Wildcat Invitational, hosted by Villanova at White Manor Country Club in Malvern, Pa.
Lehigh placed 12th out of 18 teams in its last outing, the Mission Inn Spring Spectacular. Junior Harley Abrams shot a final round 71 to lead the Mountain Hawks. Abrams had the lowest score of any Mountain Hawk on the weekend and finished in 24th place overall.
Abrams also had Lehigh's lowest score in last year's Wildcat Invitational. He posted a top 10 overall finish at the White Manor Country Club after shooting a 73-74-74 (221) on his way to eighth place. As a team, Lehigh finished 12th out of 16 teams.
Seniors Carlos Kim and Zach Allinson also scored for Lehigh at last season's Wildcat Invitational and will look to improve on their scores from a year ago.
The two-day tournament will feature 16 teams. In addition to Lehigh and Villanova, other teams in the field include Binghamton, Bucknell, Canisius, Central Connecticut State, Delaware, Drexel, Fordham, La Salle, Lafayette, Manhattan, Monmouth, Rider, Saint Joseph's and Wagner. Columbia, who will not be competing this year, won the tournament a year ago.
The White Manor Country Club plays to a par 71 and covers just over 6,800 yards. The tournament will feature 36 holes Monday and 18 on Tuesday.
The tournament will begin on Monday, March 30 and end the following day. Tee times will begin at 8 a.m. on Monday and 8:30 a.m. on Tuesday.
