Turner named Patriot League Player of the Week

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Lehigh volleyball senior Leah Turner has been named the Patriot League Player of the Week after helping the Mountain Hawks to a 2-0 weekend in league play, it was announced Monday.
Turner recorded a pair of double-doubles and hit .380 in Lehigh's five-set win at Bucknell Friday and sweep of Colgate Saturday. She notched a pair of career highs with 25 kills and 19 digs at Bucknell and then followed that performance with 22 kills and 17 digs in a straight-set win over the Raiders. She averaged an impressive 5.88 kills and 4.5 digs per set in the two matches combined, including marks of 7.33 kills and 5.67 digs per set against Colgate. The Mountain Hawks moved into sole possession of second place in the Patriot League standings with the two wins this weekend that brought Lehigh's league record to 4-1.
Turner and the Mountain Hawks return to action Saturday when Lehigh hosts two-time defending Patriot League Champion American inside Leeman-Turner Arena at Grace Hall. First serve is set for 4 p.m.
