"I think we ran better than we did at Princeton two weeks ago," head coach Debbie Utesch said after the race. "It was right on course with what we've seen throughout the season," she added of her team, which has battled a number of key injuries throughout the year. "Amanda Ruschel was aggressive on the downhills. Ashleigh Thurston and Stacie Nadel also did a nice job. The whole pack behind Amanda ran pretty well with each other today."
Junior Ashley Strysko (65th) also competed for the Mountain Hawks, completing the hilly 6K course in 23:46.7. She was followed closely behind in 69th place by sophomore Sarah Spring, who finished in 23:55.4. Next up, Lehigh will send its top seven runners to the NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regionals on the campus of Princeton University on Friday, November 13.
