
Lehigh completes fall season at ITA Regionals

NEW HAVEN, Conn. – The Lehigh men's tennis team finished off its fall season this weekend as three Mountain Hawks competed at the ITA Northeast Regionals hosted by Yale. Sophomore Jack Petersen earned two wins in singles qualifiers to advance to the main draw to highlight the event.
Petersen began with a 7-6, 6-3 victory over Jan Cimman of NJIT before earning a 6-4, 6-4 win over Columbia's Daniel Grunberger. He then fell in main draw against Eddie Grabill of Dartmouth, 6-1, 6-2.
Senior Jeremy Kochman was placed directly into the main draw for singles and bypassed the qualifying round. He fell 6-1, 7-5 to Harvard's Kenneth Tao in main draw action. Freshman Christopher Auteri dropped a 6-4, 6-4 match to Jonathan Carcione of Princeton in qualifying action.
In doubles play, the team of Kochman and Petersen fell 8-6 to Harvard's Jean Thirouin and Andy Zhou.
Lehigh's spring season will begin in late January.
