Mountain Hawks head to New York for Tuxedo Autumn Invitational

BETHLEHEM, Pa. - The Lehigh men's golf team will travel Tuxedo Park, N.Y. this weekend to compete in the Tuxedo Autumn Invitational, hosted by Columbia. The36-hole tournament will feature a nine team field including a Patriot League rivals in Lafayette and Bucknell. The rest of the field includes host Columbia, Central Connecticut State, Hofstra, UMass-Lowell, Monmouth, and Manhattan.
 
Lehigh is coming off a fifth place finish out of 18 teams at the Rutgers Invitational last weekend. The Mountain Hawks ended the weekend with a score of 870 (297-283-290) and had three players shoot even par or better in the final round. Junior Harley Abrams and Senior Carlos Kim were the only two Mountain Hawks to finish in the top ten individually. Abrams finished in a tie for sixth at two under par 211 (71-69-71) while Kim finished tied for ninth at even par 213 (74-70-69).
 
Columbia will be hosting the Tuxedo Autumn Invitational for the first time. OnCore golf will sponsor the event this year.
 
This is the third tournament of the year for Lehigh. The Mountain Hawks will face Lafayette in match play for the Presidents' Cup on October 14 before hosting the Lehigh Invitational October 18 at Saucon Valley CC.
 
Tee times will begin at 9 a.m. both Friday and Saturday from Tuxedo Park, N.Y.
