
Mountain Hawks Defeat Colgate in Team Effort

HAMILTON, N.Y. – The Lehigh men's swimming and diving team earned its second win of the season on Saturday afternoon, defeating Colgate 190-88 on the road, and improving its record to 2-3 in a strong team effort.
The Mountain Hawks started off the meet on a high note, winning the 400 medley relay in 3:33.89. Winning performances such as freshman Patrick Champagne's 1000 free (9:58.88), sophomore Justin White's 200 free (1:43.41) and 100 free (47.42), sophomore Kevin Huntley's 100 breaststroke (59.84) and 200 breaststroke (2:12.34), sophomore Jacob Moyar's 200 butterfly (1:55.10) and 500 free (4:49.47), junior Jake Hassel's 100 butterfly (51.69), and sophomore Jamal Willis's 50 free (21.22) helped lead Lehigh to victory.
Senior diver Dan Bateman added to Lehigh's success, finishing in first place in the one and three meter diving events.
The Mountain Hawks compete again on November 21 when they take on the Leopards of Lafayette at Lehman College, located in the Bronx, N.Y. That meet will happen on the eve of the 150th Lehigh-Lafayette football game at Yankee Stadium.
