Lehigh ties for ninth in first fall tournament at Bucknell

LEWISBURG, Pa. – The Lehigh women's golf team completed its first fall event Sunday as the Mountain Hawks tied for ninth place out of 17 teams at the Bucknell Invitational, which wrapped up on the Bucknell Golf Course. Sophomore Nicole Feierberg led the Mountain Hawks on the weekend, tying for 19th place at 79-79-78-236.
 
As a team, the Mountain Hawks shot 325 on Sunday to finish at 329-322-325-976. Lehigh tied for ninth with Cleveland State, 15 strokes behind eighth place Rutgers.
 
Junior Kelly Moylan was Lehigh's No. 2 finisher, coming in three spots behind Feierberg at 82-79-78-239. Moylan tied for tied for 28th. Senior Crystal Lee tied for 35th at 80-81-82-243.
 
Lehigh's other two scoring players were junior Alyssa Scheyd and sophomore Tess Jennings. Schyed shot 88-83-87-258 and tied for 64th while Jennings tied for 72nd at 92-83-92-267.
 
In addition, senior Elle Sander and junior Melanie Dickens competed as individuals, with Sander tying for 42nd at 246 (80-81-85) and Dickens tying Scheyd for 64th at 88-83-87-258.
 
William & Mary shot a final round 300 to finish at 912 (310-302-300) to capture the team title. The Tribe won by ten strokes over both Columbia and Seton Hall. Columbia's Michelle Piyapattra defeated Victoria Nguyen of Siena in a playoff to earn medalist honors at 12 over par 222.
 
Lehigh continues its fall season September 14-15 at the Princeton Invitational in New Jersey.
