Lehigh finishes 12th at Yale Intercollegiate

Final Results

NEW HAVEN, Conn. – After 54 holes of golf spread over three days, the Lehigh women's golf team finished 12th out of 17 teams at the Yale Intercollegiate, which finished up Sunday at the Yale Golf Course. The Mountain Hawks started slow Friday, but rebounded with a solid round of 309 Saturday before finishing with a 320 on Sunday to finish at 952 (323-309-320).
 
Senior Crystal Lee was Lehigh's top individual, tying for 29th at 232 (77-73-82). Lee's second round 73 marked the low round of the weekend for the Mountain Hawks. Sophomore Nicole Feierberg followed up an opening round 84 with two rounds in the 70s to tie for 43rd at 237 (84-75-78).
 
Also competing for Lehigh were juniors Kelly Moylan and Alyssa Scheyd and senior Elizabeth Sander. Moylan shot 239 (78-79-82) and tied for 53rd, while Scheyd finished 65th at 244 (84-82-78). Sander carded rounds of 92, 88 and 92 to tie for 85th at 272.
 
The host Yale Bulldogs cruised to the team title at 292-292-290-874 to defeat Xavier by 19 strokes. Yale's Elisabeth Bernabe earned medalist honors shooting 214 (69-72-73) to defeat teammate Seo Hee Moon and Penn's Amanda Chin by four strokes.
 
The Mountain Hawks will have the next two weekends off before returning to action at the Rutgers Invitational October 14-15 in Piscataway, N.J.
