Mountain Hawks host Holy Cross on Senior Night Saturday

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – The Lehigh men's soccer team will close out its season this Saturday as the Mountain Hawks host Holy Cross at 7 p.m. at the Ulrich Sports Complex. The program's four seniors will be honored at halftime as they play their final contest in the brown and white. Video of the game will air live for free on the Patriot League Network.
The Mountain Hawks fell to Colgate last Saturday, 2-0, at the Ulrich Sports Complex. The game was scoreless heading into the half, but Colgate netted two goals in the second half to capture a victory. Freshman goalkeeper Jacob Gottwald finished the game with seven saves in 71 minutes, including a key save in the 24th minute when a Colgate penalty kick hit the crossbar. Sophomore Kevin Motylewski entered the game to play the final 19 minutes in Lehigh's net.
Four different Mountain Hawks have scored goals this season, while senior Ben Wysocki and freshman Gianfranco Giammatteo lead the team with three points apiece. Freshman Danny Gonzalez and junior Brian Suchoski have each fired a team-leading 11 shots on goal.
Holy Cross heads into Saturday night with an overall record of 7-8-1 and 5-3-0 mark in Patriot League play that has earned the Crusaders a Patriot League Tournament berth. The Crusaders are coming off a tough 1-0 loss to Harvard on Wednesday night with the game winning goal coming in the 30th minute.
Joey DeVito and Monty Sanders lead the Crusaders with five and four goals, respectively. Kevin Wright has seen the most time in the net for Holy Cross, accumulating a 1.30 goals against average and .791 save percentage.
