Lehigh Ice Hockey Ready For Lafayette
11/21/2013 8:50:00 PM | Men's Ice Hockey (ACHA D1)
The Mountain Hawks held their final practice this evening at Steel Ice Center in Bethlehem before their matchup against Lafayette tomorrow evening. (video included) It's easy to say the boys are ready to go and are excited about the matchup. I chatted with a few of the players as they exited the ice today on their thoughts and feelings on this game against their opponent from just down Route 22. Junior Forward Garren Fritts was straight to the point in saying "we will be taking this game very seriously, it's always different when you play these guys". Senior Captain Chris Ellis, with this being his last Lehigh / Lafayette game, put it very much in perspective when saying "this game is definitely going to be different, very surreal". On the opposite end of the spectrum, Freshman Forward Stephen Friedman expressed his excitement in saying "this is my first Lehigh / Lafayette game, i'm aware of the rivalry and i'm very excited for the game. I'm excited to see all the people that will show up. We definitely will be hyped to play". Junior Forward Adam Goldstein had this to say about the game, "there has been alot of talk between the schools this week. It's going to be a different kind of game than normal. We will be ready to go". Puck drop for tomorrow night's game is scheduled for 7:45pm at Steel Ice Center 320 E 1st St Bethlehem. Remember if you will be attending the game to try your best to wear brown, as a "brown out" is being promoted for the matchup. Also as always remember to follow your Mountain Hawks Ice Hockey team on twitter @LUIcehockey and on facebook by following Lehigh University Ice Hockey. Any other questions email Asst Team Manager Troy Righter at troyrighter@gmail.com for more information. See you tomorrow night. GO LEHIGH!
