BETHLEHEM, Pa. – After three weeks off from competitive play, the Lehigh men's golf team returns to action Sunday at the Stars and Stripes Invitational, hosted by Army at the West Point Golf Course at West Point, N.Y.

Lehigh tees off for the first time since placing fifth out of 17 competing teams on at the Rutgers Invitational, led by sophomore Harley Abrams who placed 11th. Abrams has been Lehigh's top individual in both tournaments thus far and leads the team with a 72.33 scoring average through six rounds.

Senior Alex DiClemente placed ninth and tied for 20th in the Mountain Hawks first two tournaments and brings his 73.83 scoring average to West Point this weekend. Top freshman prospect Ethan Wall, who placed tied for 14th in Lehigh's first tournament, will gain more experience and an opportunity to improve his 75.16 scoring average Sunday. Juniors Zach Allinson and Carlos Kim should round out the Mountain Hawk roster this weekend. Head coach Henry D'Alberto has additional options in senior Andrew Arnold, sophomore Jonathan Heydt, who carded a 67 in the second round at Rutgers, and freshman Brendan Worthy at his disposal.

The host Black Knights are coming off a victory against rival Navy in match play. The Stars and Stripes Invitational was in jeopardy earlier in the week due to the government shutdown, but on Thursday Army was given the approval to proceed with the tournament.

The ten team field includes Bethune-Cookman, Bucknell, Columbia, Holy Cross, Lafayette, Lehigh, Loyola, Pacific, and UC Santa Barbara in addition to Army.

The competing teams will take on the crisp early autumn conditions at the course designed by renowned architect Bobby Jones. The West Point Golf Course has hosted four Patriot League Championships and will host the event again in 2014. For the Stars and Stripes Invitational the course will play at 6,101 and a par of 69.

The Stars and Stripes Invitational begins Sunday with 36 holes beginning at 8 a.m. from the West Point Golf Course. Sunday's afternoon round will begin at approximately 12:30 p.m., with Monday's final round set is set for a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m.
