Final Results
WEST POINT, N.Y. – The Lehigh men's golf team battled wet, windy conditions to finish third in a ten team field, which wrapped up Monday at the West Point Golf Course. Monday's final 18 holes included several heavy showers and a 45 minute weather delay. Lehigh shot a final round 295 to finish at 44 over par 872 (285-292-285).

The host Black Knights of Army held off Loyola by five strokes to claim the team title. Army finished at 13 over par 841 (287-268-286) while Loyola finished at 846 (273-283-290).

Freshman Ethan Wall was Lehigh's top finisher, tying for ninth at eight over par 215. Wall fired the low round of the tournament with a 64 in Sunday's first round and rebounded from an afternoon 81 to shoot a team-best 70 on Monday.

Sophomores Harley Abrams and Johnny Heydt both finished with round of 73 on Monday. Abrams finished in a tie for 11th at 216 (73-70-73) while Heydt tied for 31st at 227 (80-74-73).

Also competing for Lehigh were senior Alex DiClemente, who finished in 21st place at 222 (71-72-79), and junior Zach Allinson, who carded a 234 (77-76-81) and finished in 45th.

Army's Marcus Plunkett was the lone player to finish under par, as he earned medalist honors at two under par 205 (66-67-72). He posted a three stroke victory over Jimmy Dengler of Loyola.

Lehigh will battle rival Lafayette in the annual Presidents' Cup matches Tuesday, October 15 in Gladstone, N.J. The Mountain Hawks will then close out their fall schedule when they host the Lehigh Invitational at Saucon Valley Country Club October 27-28.Â
