BETHLEHEM, Pa. – No. 16/18 Lehigh will play its final five regular season games against Patriot League opponents beginning Saturday afternoon when the Mountain Hawks host Georgetown on Family Day. The Mountain Hawks bounced back from a loss to Fordham with a strong defensive effort in a 24-10 win over Columbia last weekend in New York. Lehigh's defense held the Lions to just 223 yards, including just 71 through the air. Offensively, quarterback Brandon Bialkowski eclipsed the 300 yard passing mark for the sixth straight game and threw for three touchdowns, while Lee Kurfis tied a school record with 14 receptions, which went for 130 yards and two touchdowns.

Georgetown has lost its last four games to fall to 1-5 on the season. Last weekend the Hoyas held a potent Fordham attack in check in the second half, but a fast Fordham start gave the visiting Rams a 34-12 win. Georgetown's top player is senior linebacker Dustin Wharton, the Patriot League Preseason Defensive Player of the Year, who has been limited to four games this season because of injury. The Hoyas' lone win came by a 42-7 score over Davidson on September 7.

Kurfis has been named to the watch list for the Walter Payton Award, given to the outstanding player in the Football Championship Subdivision. Kurfis is off to a flying start in 2013, with 64 receptions for 934 yards and six touchdowns through six games. He currently leads the FCS in receptions per game (10.7), receiving yards per game (155.7) and overall receiving yards. Kurfis has eclipsed the 100 yard receiving mark in all six of Lehigh's games this season and seven straight games going back to last season. He owns nine career 100-plus yard receiving games, the first of which came last year at Georgetown (11-132).

One week after giving up a season-high 384 passing yards against Fordham, Lehigh tightened up its pass defense last time out against Columbia. The Mountain Hawks limited two Lion quarterbacks to 9-of-21 passing for just 71 yards. This marked the first time Lehigh allowed fewer than ten completions and fewer than 75 net passing yards since its 14-7 NCAA Playoff win over Northern Iowa in 2010 when the Panther quarterbacks completed just 8-of-16 passes for 63 yards.

Lehigh and Georgetown meet for the 19th time Saturday afternoon with the Mountain Hawks leading the series 13-5.  Lehigh has won the last 12 meetings, including Patriot League-title clinching wins in 2010 and 2011. The Brown and White met the Hoyas for the first time in 1901 and the teams did not meet between 1926 and 2001.

In addition to Saturday being Family Day at Goodman Stadium, Lehigh will take part in two additional initiatives. Lehigh will compete in the Game Day Recycling Challenge, a nationwide competition between universities to reduce waste at football games. The challenge is to educate fans about waste reduction, and weigh all trash and recycling from one game. Lehigh will implement its waste production program and will track and report waste reduction and disposal data.

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and Saturday will mark Lehigh football's Pink Out game, hosted by Zeta Tau Alpha. Among the activities to promote breast cancer awareness, Lehigh players and cheerleaders are expected to don pink accessories, while pink ribbons will be distributed to fans, coaches and staff at the game.
