Mountain Hawks finish up in rainy Annapolis

ANNAPOLIS, Md. – On a day where players battled rain, wind and cooler temperatures, Lehigh wrapped-up action at the Navy Spring Invitational Sunday at the Naval Academy Golf Course. The Mountain Hawks were unable to adapt to Sunday's brutal weather conditions and shot 324 to finish at 626 (302-324), to finish 15th in the 20-team field.
Sophomore Alex DiClemente led Lehigh on Saturday shooting 73 but struggled to an 84 on Sunday as he finished in a tie for 53rd at 157. Freshman Zach Allinson also tied for 53rd following his 75 on Saturday with an 82 on Sunday.
Rounding out Lehigh's five entries was sophomore Andrew Arnold, who tied for 80th at 162 (78-84).
Penn was the only team to break 300 on Saturday and rallied to win the team title at 593 (294-299). The Quakers bested George Washington by four strokes for the win, while Columbia took third at 606.
The Quakers' Max Marsico shot a one over par 143 (73-70) to earn medalist honors, edging Martin Liu of George Washington by one stroke.
The Mountain Hawks will return to action on Tuesday when they compete in the four-team Lehigh Valley Intercollegiate, hosted by Moravian College on the Weyhill Course at Saucon Valley Country Club.
