Mountain Hawks wrap-up action at Princeton Invitational

PRINCETON, N.J. – Lehigh continued its fall schedule at the two-day Princeton Invitational which took place at the Springdale Golf Club in Princeton, N.J. The Mountain Hawks finished tenth in the 12 team field with a 54 hole score of 956 (315, 318, 323) as action wrapped up with the final 18 holes of play Sunday morning.
 
The Mountain Hawks were led by junior Chelsea Michalek and sophomore Crystal Lee, who tied for 26th place at 235. Michalek rebounded from an opening round 82 to shoot 76 and 77, while Lee fired a 76 in round one and followed up with a 79 and 80.
 
Other Mountain Hawks who competed included junior Ginette Schapira, who shot 238 (78, 78, 80) who tied for 33rd, junior Natalie Lansing who finished in 50th place at 253 (79, 86, 88), and sophomore Hannah Kim, who tied for 54th at 259 (90, 83, 86).
 
Harvard University captured the team title with a score of 906 (302, 301, 303), topping Ivy League foe Brown by four shots and third place Columbia by nine.
 
Tiffany Lim of Harvard earned medalist honors, shooting a 213 (72, 70, 71) and besting Michelle Piyapattra of Columbia by six shots.
 
The Mountain Hawks will continue their fall season at the Penn State Invitational, beginning Friday in University Park, Pa.
