Rain washes out final day of Nittany Lion Invitational

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – The final round of the Nittany Lion Invitational has been cancelled after inclement weather left the Penn State Blue Course unplayable. The 36-hole results from Saturday are now the final results. Junior Ginette Schapira led Lehigh tying for 35th overall at 156 (81,75).
 
As a team the Mountain Hawks finished 14th in the 15 team field at 646 (318, 328). Eastern Michigan takes the team title with a score of 597 (300, 297), followed by Longwood and Penn State, who tied for second. Longwood's Ariel Witmer earns medalist honors with a 144 (71, 73).
The Mountain Hawks will wrap-up the fall season when they host the Lehigh Invitational at Saucon Valley Country Club October 22-23.
