BETHLEHEM, Pa. – The Lehigh track and field teams completed their weekend events at the Penn Relays in Philadelphia and the Lehigh Games, which took place on the Goodman Campus.  Emily Settle was the story for Lehigh this weekend, as she finished third in the hammer throw with an ECAC qualifying distance of 54.42 meters on Thursday at the Penn Relays.
Settle's distance was a personal best for her and a school record as well. Then on Friday at the Lehigh games, Settle re-broke her school record in the same event, beating it by almost a meter (55.13m). With her throw, Settle currently ranks 46th in the eastern region in the hammer throw.

She did fall short of her distance at the Penn Relays. Jimil Ataman had a strong showing at the Lehigh games, as she finished in second in the discus throw, a personal best 38.26 meters. Ataman also placed third in the hammer throw (49.61m). Alex Doersam had a good showing in the long jump, as she placed first in the event with a distance of 5.61 meters.

In women's track events at the Lehigh games, Kristin Slotnick took first place in the 100 meter dash with a time of 12.45 seconds. Slotnick continued her dominance as she also won the 200 meter dash (25.53). Alex Doersam (25.76) and Khaaleedah Smith (26.15) finished right behind her in second and third place. Also, Lehigh's Danielle Albergo won the 400 meter dash (59.19).
