Final day of Hoya Invitational washed out; Lehigh finishes 13th

BEALSVILLE, Md. – Rain has forced the cancellation of the final round of the Hoya Invitational, scheduled for Tuesday at the Members Club at Four Streams. With Tuesday's rain, Monday's 36-hole results are now the final results with Lehigh finishing 13th out of 17 teams with a score of 673 (339, 334).
Sophomore Natalie Lansing led Lehigh as she shot a 166 (83, 83) to tie for 40th. The trio of senior Emily Endres (87, 82), sophomore Natalie Lansing (83, 86) and freshman Crystal Lee (86, 83) are all tied for 52nd at 169. Endres' second round 82 was the low round of the tournament for the Mountain Hawks. Sophomore Ginette Schapira shot a 177 (89, 88) to tie for 78th.
 
Freshman Ava Panteli competed as an individual and shot a 183 (94, 89) to finish in 85th place.
 
Sandra Changkija of Nova Southeastern University earned medalist honors with a two-over par 149 (71, 75). Changkija bested Harin Lee of St. John's by three strokes, while Columbia's Robin Lee finishes in third place.
 
Nova Southeastern captured the team title with a 623 (307, 316), four strokes better than Yale (318, 309 – 627).
 
The Mountain Hawks will return to the links on Friday April 15 when they wrap-up their spring season at the two-day Roar-EE Invitational hosted by Columbia at 9 a.m.
