Mountain Hawks conclude action at Lafayette Invitational

CENTER VALLEY, Pa. – Lehigh completed play at the Lafayette Invitation with the final 18 holes Sunday at Center Valley Club. The Mountain Hawks shot a final-round 307 to finish fifth out of 15 teams with a score of 606 (299, 307). Freshman Alex DiClemente competed as an individual on the weekend and led the Mountain Hawks, finishing in a tie for sixth overall at 147 (75, 72).
Freshman Andrew Arnold also competed as an individual and shot 163 (82, 81) to tie for 61st.
Lafayette's Carter Rufe shot a final round 71 to earn medalist honors at 140 (69, 71) to finish three strokes better than Iona's Justin Deitz.
The Iona Gaels shot a final round 288 to rally to win the team title with a final score of 589 (301, 288). Eighteen-hole leaders Lafayette shot a 301 on Sunday to finish second at 595 (294, 301). Fairleigh Dickinson finished third at 602, followed by Long Island at 604 then Lehigh at 606 and Navy at 609.
The Mountain Hawks will return to action at the Navy Invitational next Saturday and Sunday in Annapolis, Md.
