Mountain Hawks take 12th at C&F Bank Intercollegiate

WILLIAMSBURG, Va. – After winning its first spring tournament last weekend, the Lehigh women's golf team returned to action at the C&F Bank Women's Intercollegiate hosted by William and Mary on the Blackheath Course at Ford's Colony Resort. The Mountain Hawks shot a 36-hole score of 655 (328, 327) over the two day event to finish 12th out of 22 teams.
 
Sophomore Chelsea Michalek led the Mountain Hawks, tying for 21st with a score of 159 (80, 79). Others who competed for Lehigh included freshman Crystal Lee, who shot 162 (80, 82) to tie for 33rd; senior Emily Endres, who tied for 39th with score of 163; and sophomores Natalie Lansing (91, 85) and Ginette Schapira (86-90) who tied for 87th at 176.
 
Yale University captured the team title with a two-round total of 606 (296, 310). The Bulldogs bested St. John's (616) by ten strokes, with Penn (625), Bucknell (631) and Penn State (634). Lehigh finished seven strokes behind 11th place Eastern Kentucky and seven in front of the 13th place William and Mary “Gold” team.
 
Seo Hee Moon of Yale captured medalist honors shooting a two-under par 142 (66, 76), six shots better than runners-up Harin Lee and Sebin Kim from St. John's.
 
The Mountain Hawks will return to the links at the Hoya Invitational, April 4-5 in Washington, D.C.
