BETHLEHEM, Pa. – The Lehigh football team captured its tenth Patriot League championship on Saturday and on Monday two Mountain Hawks received Patriot League weekly awards for their performances in the 34-12 win over Georgetown. Junior cornerback Bryan Andrews was named the league's Defensive Player of the Week, while sophomore kicker/punter Tim Divers garnered Rookie of the Week honors.

Andrews made three tackles on Saturday but came up with a pair of key interceptions that helped Lehigh increase its lead. His first interception came late in the second quarter and led to a Divers field goal that gave the Mountain Hawks a 20-6 cushion. After Georgetown cut Lehigh's lead to eight points in the third quarter, Andrews corralled a tipped Isaiah Kempf pass for his second interception of the day and raced 26 yards for his first career touchdown, which gave Lehigh a 27-12 advantage.

As a unit, Lehigh held Georgetown to 199 yards of offense and 151 through the air. Andrews had two of Lehigh's three interceptions with senior Kenyatta Drake adding one in the fourth quarter.

For the season, Andrews has 27 tackles and a team-high seven pass breakups, while his four interceptions tie him with senior Mike Groome for tops on the team. Andrews is the third different Lehigh defensive player to be named Patriot League Player of the Week this season.

Divers garnered his third special teams award of the season, after scoring ten points and having a career-best punt against the Hoyas. On a windy afternoon at Goodman Stadium, Divers connected on all four of his extra point attempts and hit on first half field goals of 24 and 32 yards. Divers also punted five times, averaging 33 yards per kick. He hit a career-long 63 yarder in the third quarter that was downed by the Mountain Hawks at the Georgetown one yard line.

With 55 points, Divers ranks second on the Mountain Hawks in scoring this season. He has converted 28-of-31 extra points and nine-of-15 field goals since taking over the placekicking duties. He is also averaging 37 yards per punt while just 13 of his 37 punts have been returned.

Lehigh held steady at No. 6 in the Sports Network/Fathead.com FCS Top 25, while the FCS Coaches Poll will be released later Monday afternoon. The Mountain Hawks also remain atop the ECAC Lambert Cup Poll for the top eastern teams in the FCS.

The Mountain Hawks (9-1, 4-0 PL) will wrap-up the regular season on Saturday when they host Lafayette in the 147th meeting of college football's most-played rivalry. Kickoff is set for 12:30 p.m. The game is sold out but fans can watch it on WFMZ-TV, Fox College Sports Atlantic or Lehighsports.com.
