Mountain Hawks finish up at Barnabas Heath Intercollegiate

BEDMINSTER, N.J. – The Lehigh men's golf team concluded action at the Barnabas Health Intercollegiate by shooting a final round 313 Sunday at Fiddler's Elbow Country Club. The Mountain Hawks finished in 11th place in the 17 team field with a score of 620 (307-313).
 
Freshman Carlos Kim led the Mountain Hawks, finishing in a tie for 26th at 152 (75-77). Kim's first round 75 was the low round for Lehigh on the weekend. Sophomores Andrew Arnold (76-78) and Alex DiClemente (77-77) tied for 31st at 154. Also competing for the Mountain Hawks were senior Tim Rosenhouse, who shot 160 (79-81) to tie for 66th place and freshman Zach Allinson, who tied for 83rd place, shooting a 167 (83-84).
 
Medalist honors were shared by four players: Chris Wellde of James Madison, Brandon Park of Seton Hall, Paul Carbone of Temple and Ross Sumner of Longwood, all of whom shot even par 144. Kim, who was competing in his first collegiate varsity event, finished eight strokes off the pace.
 
James Madison shot a final round 289 as a team to claim the team championship with a score of 586 (297-289), to defeat host Seton Hall by ten strokes. Temple was the third team to break 600 as the Owls finished third at 598.
The Mountain Hawks will wrap-up their fall season next weekend when they host the Lehigh Invitational at Saucon Valley Country Club.
