Lehigh concludes action in Maryland

BEALLSVILLE, Md. – Lehigh completed action at the 2010 Hoya Invite on Tuesday as the Mountain Hawks shot a 354 over the course of the final 18 holes to finish with a team score of 698 (344, 354), which placed the Brown and White in 15th place in the 17-school tournament. Livia Amado and Chelsea Michalek were Lehigh’s top individual finishers with identical scores of 173, which placed the Mountain Hawks in a tie for 64th place. Nova Southeastern won the team championship with a score of 612 (303, 309) with Maryland in second with a 616 (308, 308), Campbell University and Rollins in fourth with identical scores of 635 and Yale in fifth place with a score of 637 (308, 329).
Other Mountain Hawks that competed include Rosie Davies who tied for 67th place after shooting a 174 (83, 91), Ginette Schapira who shot a 179 (84, 95) and tied for 79th place and Natalie Lansing who finished in 89th place after shooting a 197 (103, 94).
Sandra Changkija of Nova Southeastern won the individual crown after shooting a 143 (72, 71) for the tournament, while Jesse Hollandsworth of Maryland placed second with a 147 (73, 74).
Lehigh will close out its 2010 spring season on April 16 when the Mountain Hawks begin competition in the two-day Columbia Invitational in Suffern, New York.
