Lehigh rolls to 7-0 win over Holy Cross

WEST POINT, N.Y. – Lehigh netted its second Patriot League win in four days as the Mountain Hawks cruised to a 7-0 win over Holy Cross Sunday at the Lichtenberg Tennis Center. The Mountain Hawks swept the three doubles matches and won all six singles matches in straight sets as they improve to 7-14 overall and 2-3 in Patriot League matches. The seven wins eclipse Lehigh’s win total from last season.
The day began in doubles with an 8-1 win for sophomores Cameron Silbert and Arnaldo Pacheco over Dan Phelan and Brendan McElhenny at No. 3 doubles. Lehigh added wins at the top two flights to earn the first point.
In singles play, Lehigh did not drop a set. Sophomores Troy List and Collin Laffey continued their recent winning ways with wins at the top two flights. Junior J.T. Bolcar also picked up his first singles win of the season with a 6-1, 6-0 triumph over Jay DeSanto at No. 5 singles.
The Mountain Hawks will be back on the courts on Thursday when they travel to Bucknell. The match gets underway at 2 p.m. from Lewisburg, Pa.
