McClimon earns honorable mention

BETHLEHEM, Pa.- Freshman Dan McClimon received an honorable mention from the Patriot League on Tuesday for his performance this past weekend at the Lehigh Valley Championship. The Pottstown, Pennsylvania native finished the 8k race in 26:25 just two seconds behind winner David Chorney of Muhlenberg. This is the second straight week McClimon has been recognized by the Patriot League, after taking home Rookie of the Week honors last week.

With the help of McClimon’s performance, the men’s team won the overall title, finishing 43 points ahead of second place Muhlenberg. Last week at the Muhlenberg short course meet, McClimon finished first overall, eleven seconds ahead of teammate Dan Dewitt.

Both the men’s and women’s cross country teams return to action this Saturday when they travel to Easton for the Lehigh-Lafayette Dual. The race is scheduled to start at 9:30 a.m.
